Rupert Prokofiev Award

The Oleg Prokofiev Trust has launched the Rupert Prokofiev Award in 2021, a special annual grant that will fund music projects by artists living with disabilities.

The award is open to projects such as performances, compositions, recordings, research, workshops or publications that benefit people living with disabilities (whether that be the applicant or target audience).

The recipient(/s) will be awarded up to £5,000. The deadline for the current round of applications is 25 November 2024
.

Applications are only accepted by using the application form: DOWNLOAD HERE. Please submit by email to contact@olegprokofievtrust.org with 'Rupert Prokofiev Award application' in the subject header. If you have any questions please get in touch here.

The award has been created in memory of much-loved and missed former trustee Rupert Prokofiev, a lover of music and passionate campaigner for disabled rights. He himself lived with a rare neurodegenerative disability called Ataxia-Telangiectasia (A-T).

Rupert was an active member of the
A-T Society and spoke about A-T on Classic FM, which can be found in a tribute to Rupert here.
